Resisting the Urge to Conform

Ok...I am not going to change my way of saying things. I feel I must resist the urge to use these phrases even though it may mean that the people here won't understand me. I must stay true to myself as a Texan.

I will not say, (when I mean):

Car Park (Parking Garage/Lot)
Petrol (Gas)
Esso/Mobil (Exxon/Mobil)
Expressway (Freeway/Highway)
Take-a-way (To Go - Like when you are at a restaurant and you ask for a "to-go" container for your left-overs)
Handphone (Cellphone)
Slip Road (Feeder Road)

I know there are many others...for some reason this is all I can think of at the moment.
